Brainstorming a Character
Students are asked to develop a character based on ideas that they brainstorm in the sketchbooks. The students then character traits and a life that revolves around their idea. The process is the beginning of developing their character for the class.

4 pose character design
Students will gain knowledge about Character Development. Examples will be used to stress techniques. Craftsmanship and experimentation will be important part of this project. Students will be asked to draw character where their back-story is apparent. This is a great project to allow students to start thinking of characters from 2-d to 3-d.

5 face character expressions
Students will gain knowledge about Character Development. Wallace and Gromit will be shown to emphasis that expression and body language are the most important aspect of cartooning. Craftsmanship and experimentation will be important part of this project. This project will ask students to exaggerate their abilities.
